GBK Spring Blitz: Black Knights get set for Saturday’s (4/16) Scrimmage

Army has reached the mid-point of spring practices and the Black Knights still have plenty of positional battles going on.

We reported in two separate articles that the quarterback competition remains even, but things have quickly change after Saturday’s upcoming scrimmage, where either junior Ahmad Bradshaw or sophomore Chris Carter can jump ahead.

When it comes to Saturday’s scrimmage, look for the following players to start on the defensive side of the ball:

*Defensive Line: John Voit (DE); Raymond Wright (NG); Ed Ruzga (DT)

*Linebackers: Andrew King (MLB); Jeremy Timpf (Whip LB); Alex Aukerman (Sam LB); Kenneth Brinson (Rush DE)

*Secondary: Brandon Jackson (Boundary CB); Steven Johnson (Field CB); Rhyan England (Free Safety); Xavier Moss (Strong Safety)

Ruzga is in for Jordan Smith, who will be out due to injury.

Scrimmage Time: Flex starts at 9:30 and the scrimmage itself will be held at the United States Military Academy Prep School.
